Nadal & Williams Play Match in Water
Posted by Tito Vaselina in sports on March 30th, 2008

Not really sure how much Tennis was played here (at this Sony Ericsson preview event in Miami last week), but it is supposedly the first time something like it has ever taken place.
I’m just waiting on the pics of Serena after the match changing into her pool gear… Grrrrrrr!
Girl Gets Dunked, Stepped and Fallen On

Check out how this girl gets victimized by this guy.
NOTE: If you have no hops, don’t involve innocent bystanders. They don’t need to be tormented by your lack of leaping ability… AMATEUR!
Mark Cuban “Hates Bloggers” or is he right?
Posted by Tito Vaselina in sports on March 29th, 2008
Mark Cuban (the very involved owner of the Dallas Mavericks) is engaged in a debate on whether or not Bloggers from newspapers should be granted top tier access to the Mav’s locker room (read his post at BlogMaverick). His feeling is that main media outlets (Beat writers, TV analysts and Video/photographers for majors) should be given the main access, and bloggers (like your boy Vaselina) should be granted (if properly credentialed) second tier access (i.e. access to areas outside of the locker room).
I’m actually fine with this point of view. Us fans, bloggers, etc… want to get as close to the players as we can. This imposes pressure on those that work in the media to do the same. However, we fail to consider THE PLAYERS! Would you want to be bombarded with a TON of interviews after playing a highly competitive game? Now multiply that by 82 games!
I feel like Mr. Cuban’s request to limit blogger access is a good thing. I mean, if I was the owner of a professional sports team I would want my players (especially after a game) to be bothered as little as possible.
We all know the ESPN’s, Major local papers and high impact corners of media are given the access they need, because they are able to market the Mavs much more quickly and with greater reach than your common blog.
Let’s not take ourselves too seriously in thinking we’re right up there with the Stewart Scott’s or Mark Stein’s (of ESPN) when we’re just in our PJ’s writing posts bout what we think is cool, rght, wrong or otherwise.
Mr. and Mrs. Hideki Matsui

(Update to “Matsui Gets Married and Wins Bet”)
I found her (well, sort of)! Hideki’s being very careful about keeping his civilian wife away from the public eye. However, he decided to compromise and released a sketch of his bride.
She’s kinda fly! Way to go GODZILLA!!!

Back in the day the Red Sox had a Dick Pole and the Royals had a Pete LaCock. Opposing fans must’ve had a HELLUVA time back then!
Matsui gets married and wins bet
Posted by Tito Vaselina in sports on March 28th, 2008
“So you’re saying whoever gets married first takes the pot?” That’s allegedly what went down at the start of Spring Training between Derek Jeter, Bobby Abreu and Hideki Matsui. The three placed a wager for an undisclosed amount and the winner would get their payday upon showing proof of a legitimate tying of knots.
The kicker is Matsui was already planning his big day for about 6 months. “Berry, berry sneaky!” Click here for the full story from SI.com
Alex Rodriguez is “Not That Bright”
Posted by Tito Vaselina in sports on March 27th, 2008
You gotta love your friends! Especially when they’re trying to defend you. In the midst of Jose Canceco’s allegations of A-Rod’s supposed abuse of performance enhancers, longtime buddy and confidant Mike Borzello has come forward to help clear the air. He’s quoted in the New York Post as saying:
“No way, with as much as this guy trusted me, would he have kept that part of his life secret from me. He trusted me with everything, and I was with him every day all day long. It would have been impossible to show me everything behind the curtain except for this. He is not that bright to be able to pull that off.“
Another case of taking things too literally by the media! All the guy was saying was that A-Rod wasn’t so calculated as to cover this up. That was it. Now poor Borzello’s got some “splaining to do”.
K.C. Royal Joey Gathright has HOPS!

So above you see Jo jo (that’s what they called him in the hood) making Michael Jordan (no realation) look like an amateur with his leaping ability.

Now you see how he put those sames skills to use on the baseball diamond.
The only thing I wonder now is if HGH is the cause for this uncanny ability. If so, pass it over here PLEASE!
